The 2000s called

What. An. Era. 

Fall Out Boy and Nelly shared the same airwaves. Songs were burnt onto mix CDs, not curated into playlists. Spotify who? Music festos were in their heyday. GRWMs, fit checks and plans starting in the group chat were still years away. But the photo dump? Oh, we were already onto that. 

Digital cameras went everywhere. Clubs. Dinners. Festivals. Wherever the night ended up. The pics were a little blurry, a little grainy and eventually dumped into an album for everyone to be tagged in. And if you look closely, you may even spot a certain colourful bottle that keeps popping up. 

And the 2000s weren’t exactly known for being subtle. Everything was brighter, louder and a little bit extra. From frosted eyeshadow and colourful outfits to questionable accessories (owl necklace, anyone? IYKYK), more was more. And honestly? We kinda loved it.

But let’s be real. The 00s were 20-ish years ago. And while some trends are probably better left there, the colourful, unapologetically- extra energy? That can stay.
